Case Study: Komtel
| Client: | Komtel, Inc. |
| Project: | Handheld Merchandiser Software |
| Overview: | Komtel, a leading Application Service Provider of Web and IVR based Merchandiser reporting services, wanted to develop a mobile version of it's Site Service Manager. This would enhance their service offering and stay current with their competition. |
| Solution: | Brainloaf, Inc. designed, architected and developed a cross-platform mobile application on the Crossfire platform. Crossfire is a crossfire development tool that allows the same code base to be deployed on multiple platforms simply by recompiling.
The application synchronizes with the Site Service Manager server via XML based web services. Brainloaf advised and trained Komtel staff on implementing web services in Cold Fusion.
This fully object oriented application includes a unique object serializer. This allows objects implemented and executed on different devices to be stored in the native database format of each device.
