Home Internet Appliances are emerging! Computer sales are down. No one want to upgrade the 8 bazillion Mhz machine they bought 2 years ago. Heck, i'm still holding on to my *gasp* 400 Mhz Mac G4 that is 3 years old. People will begin spending money on $200-$400 chunks on network attached appliances. Sony just released their network adapter for PS2, and will soon release Tivo like recording capabilities.They also offer a Linux package for the machine for only $200. A cheap linux box based on the PS2 will only cost you $400. That's much better than a PC!
