Goodies!
The road to Archipelago 2.0. [The road to Archipelago 2.0 is finally drawing to a close. There have been some very exciting changes and improvements. After releasing it to the wild (those crazy, early adopter, beta folks) over the next week or so it'll be time to really let this version out there. I'm still undecided about sales/format etc. I just know that I'm going to get Archipelago into more folks hands and then go from there. I have some neat ideas for beyond 2.0 and I'll bet some users will as well. It's almost soup again, finally.] * [Archipelago]

Further along he writes the above. Does he mean that even if only 10% of graphics shops are Windows shops that there may be more software purchased by that percentage? Or does he mean that graphics shops have become mostly Windows based? I find the latter hard to believe based on what I've seen, but maybe I don't get out enough. I wonder if the same is true of music shops -- most seem to be Mac...] * [Archipelago]

Good news for the Mac world at large. Although it is still hard to believe that any new software developers hoping to create a viable product would choose the Mac. The numbers just don't make sense. Of couse there are products like RealBasic and Java that make cross platform development irrelavant. If Apple released a Cocoa runtime for windows so that Java based Cocoa apps ran in Windows. That would be HUGE.
*. [I notice a lot of companies are announcing "OS X only" development. It's an issue, and I'm glad to see it. A lot of dollars can go into testing things on multiple platforms.] * [Archipelago]
